Piling and Foundations Ltd was formed by Richard
Sheehy and Jason Milne, two highly experienced men with
nearly 40 years between them in the field of Foundation
piling.
Richard Sheehy formed a small company called Able
Underpinning and Drilling in 1988 and carried out sub
contract underpinning and piling works throughout the UK
until the company was incorporated in 1994 and renamed Able
Piling and Construction Ltd. He held the position there as a
Company Director until 2006 when it was sold to the leading
European company Franki Geotechnics. Richard then left and
worked for AGD Equipment Ltd as a operator of specialist
piling equipment working on several large contracts
including piling works for the London Olympics until the end
of 2007, before teaming up with Jason Milne to form the new
company Piling and Foundations Ltd.
Jason has worked for various piling companies as a piling
operative/foreman for the last 15 years 9 of those at Able
Piling Ltd where he met Richard, and between them carried
out many difficult and challenging contracts with success
including a project that was shown on the C4 programme Grand
Designs.
We have formed a new company with the aim of producing
competitively priced, quality work for our clients with a
partnering approach. Rather than working for our clients, we
work with them to meet their specific needs and programmes
on site. We only use the latest machines in piling
technology to ensure reliability, quality and efficiency
throughout their project. We have made a considerable
investment in the purchase of a new Vermeer HL 1800 and a
Vermeer HL1000, ideally suited for smaller sites but also at
home on the larger sites too. These are high output
machine’s that can both drive up to 150m of piling in a day
with loadings up to 500kn where ground conditions prevail.
We can also use the HL1800 for continuous flight auger (CFA)
a no vibration method, therefore we can offer very
competitive prices for all your piling needs. We also have
access to a modern fleet of larger rigs for CFA and sheet
piling from a leading UK supplier for those bigger jobs.
We can offer the complete solution for your project with a
design and build package for all piles and reinforced
concrete works should it be required.
